Extra-curricular Offerings
Stretch-n-Grow has been an integral part of the Kids of the Crown program since 2003. It is an exercise program that teaches children to take care of their bodies by eating right and exercising. It involves children from 2 years through 5 years old in an active workout learning the names of the muscles that they are using as well as learning what foods are healthy. Stretch-n-Grow is held on Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. All children are involved and the cost is $12.00 per month and is paid to Kids of the Crown.
Floppy's Mouse Club is new to Kids of the Crown. It started in April of 2009 and provides Early Childhood Computer Learning for children from 2-1/2 years through 5 years old. The children learn terminology, keyboarding and new computer skills each month through age appropriate lesson plans. Mouse Club will be held on Mondays from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Only those children whose parents enroll them will participate and the cost is $34.00 per month and is paid directly to Mouse Club on the 1st Monday of each month.
SPANISH Our Spanish classes have started up again and are being taught by Ms. Jessica. We are using a curriculum called SPANISH CHAMPS. The children are learning greetings, colors, numbers, letters in Spanish as well as the names of familiar objects. The classes are held on Wednesdays from 9:30-10:30 a.m. and include all children from 2 yrs through 5 years and is made available at no cost to parents.
